Just recently come back from Aus on holiday and say LPG everywhere, very few garages that don't carry it.
the most sickening thing is that we never saw LPG at more then 53cents per litre, lowest was 44, given that you get 2 dolars to the pound that's 22-26p per litre. Got a £1600 quote for the astra we have to be converted, down under, $400 dollars! don't know how much it would be to ship a car over seas! |

That would have been 4000 dollars. There is a 2000 dollar rebate bringing it back down to sensible money.

My C70 2.3T5 is Aug 1998 vintage. I had it LPG converted a year ago with no probs, but would I be wise to fit flashlube to avoid valve recession in the future? When did Ford become involved?

98 is well before Ford, so I wouldn't worry too much.
If any doubt persists ask the converters for their advice. If still in doubt ask Autogas 2000 at Thirsk N Yorks - they are the very best in the business. Cheers Jack |
