Default Shakespeare County dragway - Sat 14th of July

Hi all, I want to run Big Red (sorry, not a Volvo ) down the track to see what it can do! Anyone interested in joining me for a few runs?

Next public track day at Shakespeare County Dragway seems to be the 14th of July so I'll be going then. Let me know if anyone wants to meet up!

Here's the link to their website: http://www.shakespearecountyraceway.com/

Not the most up-to-date website ever but their PDF calendar has the dates.

Thanks...

Les! I can't believe you even remember me :P It's been a while.

The more the merrier, even if you don't race. Would be good just to meet up. I haven't been to this place before but I assume you can sit down and have a drink somewhere. Pedro?

Don't know when it opens but I would probably be there 10-11ish.

Regards
Henrik

erm i don't think there is anywhere to sit tbh but nothing wrong with taking a folding chair each & hijacking a corner of the car park

i know its a trek for some people but the earlier you get there the better, they actually check the cars over at Avon before your allowed to sign on which can take a while if you catch them on a busy day

Wow - does that mean I have to connect the overflow can up? It's an open cooling system at the moment...

they mainly check none of the wheels are going to fall off, the battery is secured down (& no other loose objects in the car) & you have a full firewall between you & the engine

if its dropping coolant out of the system tho mate they won't let you run becuase of dropping it on the strip

PS just been reminded, they have got grandstand seating but no cafe or anything to sit in
