hi there can any of you chaps help me out here

i want to use this engine as its a good engine but i would like more power i was thinking of doing a throttle body set up like they used in the touring car but i have been speaking to an engine tuner and he says that in order to do this i would have to buy a set up for a 6 pot and customise it for the 5 pot and the price jumped from 5k for a four pot setup to just over 9k for a 6 pot set up does any one know of any where that does a 5 pot setup?

or does any one know of a way of supercharging it instead i know the easiest way to get more power would be to buy a T5 or drop said engine into mine but i want to do something different how difficult would it be to do a custome supercharger job myself as i am pretty handy with a welder

hello mate i used to have a 2.0 20v and i put a 2.5 20v on the 20 gearbox and put a k/n cone filter full jetex exhaust and chiped it because it was a mark 1 850 and that went very well and very quick i could keep with a t5 no probs

wow and they say that all the other engines in the range are slow compared to the T5 think i'm going to stick to the 2.0 and put a low pressure supercharger on it and get it remapped for the charger i'm only looking for around 250ish bhp just enought to hold its own against much bigger engined stuff

The 850 2.0 engine is a fantastic engine and great for nasp use

Good top end revs due to 77mm stroke and great rod ratio

I'm currently building one up as we speak for a Westfield

Jenvey dynamics do a 5 cyl manifold and throttle bodies for them

I've just finished making my 5cyl airbox, have made the moulds so will be selling them if anyone is interested.

In touring car they managed 327bhp at 8500rpm with restrictions
