Power steering was an option even on that age. Having manual steering is a bonus as parts for the power steering rack are no longer available

Have you tried driving a 340 with the recommended front tyre pressures of 27 psi ? :-)

I am wondering where the 300 power steering rack came from , it seems it is not made specificaly for the 300 as it needs an adaptor mounting plate on the left side .. there might well be some other power steering rack which could be used ..
There must be some modification which can be made to the front castor angle which would reduce steering load ...

I have and do and I did my training on loads of old things including Merc T1 van Not got much time for PAS. Something else to go wrong.

I think out of all the cars I've owned, only two of them have had PAS. A V240 estate and a Mk3 Austin 1800.

Best steering car I've had/still got: Citroen GS.

Certainly never seen a 360 with PAS at this age - it was only fitted from late 87 onwards. Presumably cars of this age had been converted? If it was an option Id've expected many of the 360's of this age to have it fitted

I've been informed the car has been sold
