Default BLIS (Blind Spot Information System) really worth getting?

I’ve got my XC90 Exec on order and need to make any final additions to the specification before the order is locked.

Is the BLIS (Blind Spot Information System) really worth getting for the XC90? Anyone here have it and think it’s worth having? Also, when it comes to resale will people be looking for this option?

Thanks;

I have it on my S80 and do find it useful. Wouldn't expect it to have any effect on re-sale.

I went for BLIS on my XC90 Active as it appeared to be the only way I could get the power folding mirrors.

I do find that it works quite well though. I've always looked over my shou;ler when pulling out but the pillar on the XC90 is rather large and blocks the view (at least where I have the seat set) so I have found the BLIS quite useful.

I doubt whether it would add resale value but people may well look for the power folding mirrors - not sure if this is standard on the Exec spec though.

Thanks for the feedback.

I think I will go ahead and add the BLIS option to my order as my discount level was very good and will cost very little compared to the overall cost of the car.

Also did a little searching around and found that a number of people are happy with it, especially for the XC90 as it is quite a large vehicle and for the reasons Warbur555 pointed out above.

If it saves you missing just one car, motorcycle or bike, it's worth a few hundred £pounds!

I also opted for this on my XC60 and I do not regret it!

It simply is that good.

Of course, you still need to look, but it works.

I have it to and its money well spent. As others have said, the XC90 is a BIG car and this system does help.
