Would it be an internal fuse within the amplifier?

Seems to be the same problem as others so would be really grateful for any suggestions!
Be aware of the following:
The door speakers are wired in parallel
So if a tweeter works but the woofer does not, then the amplifier is OK on that channel and the problem is likely a dead speaker

The amplifier is a BTL amplifier and will have a DC voltage on each speaker lead (+ and -)
So put a multimeter on each output speaker wire at the amplifier- Do you measure half the battery voltage? If so, the amplifier output stage is likely OK. If you measure close to 0V or close to 12V the amplifier output stage has likely failled. A replacement amplifier (or a repair if you are electronically capable) is the only option

Check the speaker wires for isloation from chassis. Disconnect the amplifier connectors and measure each speaker wire against chassis. There must be complete isolation on every speaker wire. If any wire is shorted then look for wire damage anywhere the wire moves - which means in the door loom where it flexes.

Check the amplifier for signs of water damage.
If should be dry and clean. Dusty is OK, but any signs of water are a sign of danger. If anything is coroded, then you likely have water damage on the electronics and a replacement amplifier is the best option

As above, the amp located under drivers seat - worst location possible choice from Volvo - is well prone to water ingress during the winter period. Very common issue. You can replace it but the seat needs be lifted - disconnect the car battery during the process - with either the 300W or the 200W version new or used. Inspect the connectors to the amp for corrosion as well, especially the round black one. If corroded, the wiring is much harder to replace.
