Lower wishbone
Hi everyone, l have just replaced all the front bushes with poly and replaced springs and shocks ball joints etc. My question is when tightening the new lower wishbone nuts, has the car to be on the ground? . Its a 1966 122s , a completely new learning curve for me. Thank you in advance.

according to the Green Book maintenance info you jack the wishbone on the outer edge of the spring plate untill the rubber bump stop is 40mm from the lip of the subframe above the bump stop...........then tighten the nut on the long lower wishbone bolt to a torque that seems to vary between books so l would do a bit of homework on that first............100 lb ft has been put as one figure but other good folk may give you more detail. Good luck. Andy |

Thank you Andy for taking the time to reply. I am doing the rear suspension too but l am aware you tighten everything when the wheels are on the ground.
Thanks again Ken |
