For Sale - Volvo 940 Auto Sport/Celebration? Needs Repair
Hey all!
Here we have the Mrs old Volvo, we only owned for a year but it was a great year, now sadly its got a Fuel Pump issue, we believe?? Runs OK some days, Idles Up and Down but when you go to drive off it sometimes cuts out or cuts out while driving and having moved to the country, no longer have the suitable drive way (quite a hill....) or local roads for a Factory lowered Volvo! Its currently still at our old Address, so I can meet you there to collect, or View by appointment. When I bought this, it was advertised as a Celebration, but after a bit of digging, it was shown to be a Sport Spec, alas missing the wheels, hence the confusion over Spec. Its a Forces Export/Import. Our last 240 Estate was from this route to. Anyways, about the Volvo, Its a 1996 P Reg, (P933 AAA), 2.3 Turbo. B230FK Engine. Auto (Had Fluid Changed at last Service). Its in Very good if a little dirty condition. No gaping holes or unsightly rust. Some signs of use and a little surface on the Roof channels where a Antique Dealers rack was fitted. Its done about 165k, cant remember exactly but its thereabouts. Drives fine when last driven, Mrs used it for School Run, Local and Far Away trips as a consultant, had to be reliable and well maintained till the Fuel Pump. Volvo has MOT till Feb 16 and is Currently Legal with Tax and Insurance. We will not break this, as we would rather the old girl was kept on the road. Pics are from a year ago when we bought it. Have recent ones just have to resize them at home to upload! if you would like send a PM with email and will gladly send over. £350 |

Did you try replacing the fuel pump relay?
What work have you had done to try to fix it? What service history has it got? Thanks James |

A/C Yes, but requires a condenser as this is leaking. Had it checked and was a job for the new year before summer, ebay had them for £60 last time I checked but used is also an option.
I believe the Fuel Pump Relay and the other Relay (N/S Inner Wing) has been done as a precaution by the garage when we had the car first. I honestly wish it was practical to keep, I feckin love them but sadly we now are a household of 4X4's due to location! Just last week there was a 2" deep mud river running down the road..... So not ideal for a lowered Volvo or kind for it. Hence why we are selling now. I'm also parting with My super lovely Merc S500 Coupe, BMW 525d Touring and Golf GTi...... all because they cant get to the new house easily! I'm almost in tears as although its fun in the Land Cruiser..... Its just not what I like. |
