Default Code P0244

Had this code come up 2 times in the last year. Drove to France yesterday and came up twice while accelerating under load.
The brakes felt crap like the brake booster was down on vacuum.
So I'm guessing I have a vacuum issue not turbo or actuator.
I know there is the actuator control valve which I cleaned out in the past.
Have previously checked vacuum from engine and is good .
So would it be wise to test each line?
Any advice would be helpful.
I'm tempted to clamp off engine mounts and see what happens. They were replaced with aftermarket which are crap.

This can happen if you use the cruise control for long distances on relatively flat roads. The turbo wastegate or variable vanes don't get exercised and start to get stuck. Providing there isn't another cause, you may find that driving the car vigorously through the rev range will free it up. Have a look on here for Italian tune up. This procedure can help to get the vanes moving properly again. If it is a vacuum related issue, clamping the lines can help pinpoint the possible cause such as an engine mount.

I checked my mounts again and found they may be leaking a bit. My vac tester decided to to play up so difficult to tell.
So plugged the line to the solenoid and car goes so well, brakes better etc ( I also cleaned out the egr same time).
Fingers crossed
