C70 T5 ME7 - Throttle Sticking Wide Open?
Oddly out of the blue, my 2000 ME& C70 T5 auto, has been sticking at wide open throttle more often than not, when I use full throttle and then back off.
The accelerator returns (not getting stuck down in the carpet etc) but the car continues to accelerate like my foot is still planted. ETM was replaced by Volvo last year (approximately 40,000 miles covered since) and there seems to be no signs of a ETM issue and the rest of the car is fine. Just thought I'd share this for the forum knowledge base. Its been suggested that the throttle bodies can get build up and first place to start is to clean the throttle body. This is being done tomorrow at Kings Volvo. Secondly its been suggested to replace the TPS sensor.

Hi DSK
If you have a cheap bluetooth OBD2 dongle, which you can use with Torque on an android phone, then you can monitor the sensed position of the throttle as you press the pedal.. Useful for reading codes as well. HTH Steve

The car was serviced at King Volvo (Indy with the original MRG crew). ETM removed, looked pretty damn sweet despite the miles, but gave it a clean and PCV was mint also.
Now whilst the car has not done it since posting and not done it on the way to Kings either, I;m convinced it has to be something else. So thank for the replies, next I will check the TPS as suggested in the posts above.
