Question V70 D5 estate as a towcar.

Hi, I am considering buying a V70 D5 estate and would value any advise regarding what to avoid and what to look out for. I am intending to use this for towing a large twin axle caravan and as we regularly go to europe I need something that is reliable. I have a 940 TDI estate and replaced it with a 51 plate mercedes 320 cdi estate but I had so much trouble with it I have sold it and went back to my 940. I have owned the 940 for 16 years and it has never let me down. Thanks in advance for the advice. regards AA

i know it's not the same car but i have an S80 D5 2003 and i tow my 26 foot boat trailer about 1.5 tonnes and half the time you don't know it's there.

it's better than any of the 4x4s i have had in the past and nearly as good as my old BMW 530d was.
