Can someone tell me how often the fuel filter needs changing, where it is and do you need any special tools to change it?
Also is there a cabin filter to change? thanks.

The fuel filter will be found on the rear left just in front of the wheel. The is or should be a plastic flap over it. No special tools needed as there is a plastic quick release that might give trouble. Mine has a jubilee clip over it now for added safety.

There might not be on yours, easy to check though, pull the bottom carpet out of the front left footwell - thats the bit the passengers toes point at - if you have one you will see a clip about 6 inches long that hols the pollen filter.

Haynes manual says every 80,000 miles or 8 years for fuel filter on petrol engines.
Have a look at it anyway as they sometimes get quite rusty & can then start to leak. Although they have quick release pipe connectors they can sometimes be rather stubborn to get them to release as they should ! Be aware that there may be some pressure in the pipes & a small amount of fuel may squirt out when you release the pipes, have a container ready to catch the fuel, & wear goggles if laying under the car anywhere near to it !
