Default Bleeding Diesel System HELP!!!

I changed the fuel filter this morning using all the plugs ....etc. that came with the filter.
I even did it kind of speedy just so the fuel didn't leak back.
New Seal and was tightened correctly.
I started it up and due to me changing the oil also I didn't want to rev the guts out of it when it was still pulling oil around the engine.
It fired ran for 10 seconds then cut out.
You could see air in the outlet part of the pump.
I have managed to get a squeezy pump to try and facilitate bleeding and have managed to get rid of the air on that side.
But still no start and the battery is now struggling.

What should I do?

Cheers
Sean
