RTI map update for Sensus 2012-2014

Sensus (MY 2012-2014) RTI map update (Europe) from 2020-12-03 is now available on Volvo's site. At least the Swedish site.

Requires that the car has been updated to support download from USB stick.

Thanks for the heads up! Great to have a new map. Sad that it will be the last one Volvo will supply. Anyone know if there is an alternative map supplier for the system? In future I'd be willing to pay for updates if it kept the nav system running up to date. Since it's all done on the internet, anyone in the world with suitable downloadable maps could sell them worldwide.

Downloaded yesterday and loaded in the car today.

Took 2h 56 min to load on the car and then had the message loading navigation please wait for ages.

Just checked and all OK

Cant see any difference but I am sure it will include many of the missing features such as new roundabouts etc.

I loaded mine yesterday. Estimated time was 2 h 46 min. It took a bit more than three hours or so. I left the car with just the infotainment system on, so I wasn't in there when the install was completed.

As you say, after removing the USB stick and starting up again, it took a minute or two before operation commenced. Not really "ages", but some time. Volvo says it can take several minutes.

I checked an area I know had changed, and for sure, the road network had an update there, just like some POI. So there are changes.
