Default Terraclean

On a differnt note, has anyone had a Terraclean or similar engine clean done to a 2.0 diesel engine, and if so was it any good do you actually notice any difference, and what sort of cost is it?
thanks in advance

I was always tempted but I didn’t want to rock the boat because my 50 was running fine.

I think it costs between £100-£150 for a 2.0 engine and I've heard mixed reviews about it.

Would be worth you doing a google search on it.

I personally just use a can of BG244 at every oil change.

From what I've read on T5D5 - It's basically a waste of time.

I've had it done on my 2.0l petrol at 133K miles. It doesn't really feel any different to drive, but there's no negative effects either.

My thought process was that it might be a good idea at the mileage my car is at as a bit of a preventative measure as I plan to keep the car going.

Basically, don't expect a miracle.

TBH, your biggest issues on the 2ltr D is the fact they clog themselves up. The amount of crud that’d built up in the intake was ridiculous. Recirculating exhaust fumes through the engine can never be a good thing tbh which is why I ended up bypassing my EGR. As long as you’re running decent quality fuel and keeping your motor serviced you shouldn’t need to give it the Terraclean treatment in my opinion.
Honestly, I wouldn’t bother with it and use the money you was going to spend on it on good servicing instead.
