Can't say I did, really, but the main reason is it'd been in dock for over two weeks with other problems, so it wasn't a quick change. In fact I even stalled it when first setting off! (The courtesy car was an extremely 'light' Citroen C3, chalk and cheese difference)

Yeek ... ouch indeed! Sorry to hear that Malcolm. Did they say anything about what had gone wrong with the ones they had to replace, or just that they were dead?

Sorry about the delay in replying, Ian, it's a very long saga. The replacement injectors still didn't cure the problem, the latest development is that it's been on a "mainframe computer" in Letchworth, and had a lot of software updates installed, which said the new injectors hadn't been programmed. The original garage maintain they certainly were.

As at today, the car's running beautifully, but dare I trust it?

Malcolm

Malcolm
I think it's more that you have to trust the solution that the place in Letchworth has arrived at, for now. Given that they've achieved a result where the previous people failed, and that's presumably warrantied, hopefully you should now be good for long enough that your trust in the car will have been rebuilt by the time their warranty expires.

Hope it all goes smoothly for you from now on
