What is this pipe for??
Hi
As I have no workshop manual Im asking forum members for help please.I was filling the oil this morning and noticed a black plastic pipe immediately to the left of the filler cap had snapped away from the housing. Can someone tell me what this pipe is for please? It may explain why the engine is running a bit lumpy. Many thanks.2006 V70 T5. Last edited by Don Winter; Oct 21st, 2017 at 10:46. |

Sorry my crystal ball is broken
Which Car ? Which engine ? may be a picture would help identify which pipe you are talking about. |

So I am guessing a bit here because still don't know which car / engine. ( miss that you had updated your first post )
But I think its part of the crank case breather system. see here : http://www.pelicanparts.com/techarti...eplacement.htm figure 2 shows the pipe if I am right. Last edited by XC70Bob; Oct 21st, 2017 at 11:21. |

That's not snapped , the pipe continues on inside to fit on a nipple about 6 inches away , try taking the top plastic cover off to see if you like ..

As above, remove the top plastic cover (torx screws) and see if the tube is attached to the top of the engine with a screw collar.
Time to test the PCV, look up on Youtube and search a bit on Google about the subject.
