Default Coupe Amazon Carpet templates / old carpets set

Wondering if anyone can help? Have found some great carpet material [German Square Weave as used in Porsche, Mercedes in the 50's/60's and near matching Sisal for some over mats] however the existing carpets are aged low grade and are of a poor fit. So, am looking for a carpet template for a 2 door coupe Amazon. Any help, suggestions greatly received. Thank you, Andrew

Thanks Simon, will do this as back up but wanted to see if a template exists anywhere. Will most likely end up using a cardboard template for final trim cut before stitching on edging.

Thanks Robert, shame you're so far away as would ask to pop in with the new material and carpet shears and use templates for a suitable charge. It's good to know they do exist though. Rgds, Andrew

Hi Andrew ,

If it’s any help you could send me some roofing felt or a material in post I can if felt mark areas for you to cut out , or I could if you send carpet then cut you a complete set ready to use and with expenses covered send back to you

Ps. I would need the car spec as it depends on model how they need to be cut for example early cars had no heater rail on top of tunnel so shorter carpets work then but later need more width to cover and return up inner sills unless I cut for later type and you cut to suit ?,! Naturally the pickup point would be there still so if that helps let me know cheers

Kind regards

Hi Robert, that's a remarkably kind offer, thank you, and I might just take you up on this [will pm you once I've worked out total carpet sq.m req'd] You know, these historic car forums are just superb in the way we help each other out...I'm on two other forums, MGB V8 and Subaru Forester, where we come to the rescue of folk who need a helping hand. The base carpets is this in original Porsche 356 Red

https://www.madmatz.co.uk/category-80.html

and the over mats will be in cherry red sisal

https://www.madmatz.co.uk/sisal-spli...rch-cover.html

I've rx'd the samples and they're superb and will blend with the original slate blue/grey bodywork. My car is a 1962 B18 2 door Coupe with early/long gear lever. I've also managed to pick up some 1969/1970 seats with headrests and rear seat with armrest that I'm going to rebuild and re-cover this winter; ideally in a dark claret red leather + leather door & rear panels. Have yet to decide what to do with the rear hat shelf. Anyway, I'll be in touch once the carpet has arrived.

Kind regards
Andrew
