Since changing the pump it's been transformed. Mine was on about 120k when it failed.
Did you do it yourself & what were the rough costs?

Cheers for this. Am I right in thinking the tank has to come out to replace the pump?

I used a brand new pump, which was around £300 - you need to be dead sure it's the pump at this price! And yes I DIY'ed it. The hardest bit is getting the tank access holes undone.

I did try a used pump, but this was also 'iffy'.

Tank doesn't come out - there are 2 access holes under the back seat - you need to take the drivers side rear seat back out (disconnect main battery or you will trip the SRS warning) and you gain access. There's a good thread with pictures (if photobucket hasn't knobbled them) by 'Chopper Harris' which details the necessary steps.

So it seems I sorted it... A new air filter, cleaning of the MAF sensor & scraping out the carbon from the EGR pipes completely sorted the issue. Not sure which one of these sorted it, but glad it is fixed!
