Keyless remote battery life

What sort of battery life are folks getting from the keyless remote control keys?

Mine is definitely getting worse after 18 months which seems a pretty short life. I have batteries on order as the size isn't readily stocked at the usual outlets I've tried.

4 1/2 years now and still the same batteries in both remotes

Hmm, not good that mine are done after 18 months. Hopefully a fresh set will sort the issue where the car won't unlock when then handle's pulled or doesn't recognise that the key is in my pocket when I try to start the car

5 years so far and I use the remote to open and close windows in summer every year

Have you had a message on the dash ?

I'm coming up for 3 years a got a message something like "keyfob battery low", so took the 2nd key out of a drawer where it's been sat for the last 3 years and started to use it instead.

No, no message about the battery. Just that the doors often don't unlock when the handle is pulled and recently a message along the lines of car key not found when trying to start the engine

I'm getting Polestar on Tuesday so will check then. I also have new batteries on order

My wife uses the other remote and she's had no issues so it's definitely something with mine. I use the car far more than she does so assumed it was the remote batteries

I don't have keyless entry that might make a difference to battery life i guess
