Default Radiator top hose

My neighbour has a 1985 345 CVT B14.4E and he's in need of a top radiator hose, the one that houses the thermostat.
Does anyone have one lying about or have any idea where a new one can be sourced?

There are two listings for the part - 3285477 ('85) & 3207962 ('86)

I haven't rang Volvo yet as I'm not sure they will/can supply this part?

Look around, but don't bother with Volvo. Braydon motors might. I was looking myself some time ago, and found one.

Apparently the same hose is used in a Jaguar. Worth checking around.

Good luck!

3285477 is for chassis number 610000-120999 (83MY - 85MY)
3207962 is from chassis number 121000 onwards (86MY)

Give the main stealer a buzz just in case.

Failing that, I if you can confirm which one it is, then I can dig further.

The chassis number is 14**** and VADIS is showing it as an '86 car, eventhough 'G' is listed as '85, so I guess it's P/N 3207962.

I'll give Volvo a call tomorrow to see what they say.

Cheers

'G'? What's 'G' when it's at home??

Bear in mind when I say "Model Year", it runs from Sept to August. So 86MY is from September 1985 to August 1986.

I'll ask around tomorrow if you have no luck.

Worth noting that such software only supports cars from 1986, which could be why it's getting confused at an 85.

Sounds like your's is one of the 85 -86 changeover cars which are a bit of a pain to suss, the changeover didn't happen all in one place at one time.

If you havn't found them, the green books on V3M are a great resource in this situation normally

You have to be a registered person to see them but it's free and they have a lot of pictures of each procedure so you can make sure you are on the right one.

Volvo is out of both top (3207962) and bottom (3207963) hoses.
I am at present busy getting these remanufactured but due to delays they will only become available around August from myself and through Braydon Motors (they should have been available for the National).

3210843, the hose running along the engine, is already available and others are to follow.

I don't know wheteher it is possible to wait that long?

The car is currently off the road and I don't believe he's in any great panic to get it mobile so I think he can wait for another bit

The car also has very low milage, something like 17k miles, so I think he wants to put on a new hose to keep it looking as new.

Thanks for all your input and help folks
