Default XC60 dual mass flywheel?

My 2014 XC60 140000 miles has started to make a slight noise when letting out the clutch in 1st and 2nd gear. This is only occasional and the car runs smoothly. The previous owner changed the clutch last year but not the flywheel. My question is could this be a flywheel issue and if it is how can I tell for sure. The car is going for MOT next month it this is obviously not a simple thing to check. Also as I am still driving it will I cause further damage or will it fail all together.

I wouldn’t worry... a friend of mine has a VW Golf with 229k on it, had the DMF start knocking at 160k he got it changed at 212k.

Unless you are into traffic light starts, driven with mechanical sympathy it could last a long while yet.

It’s not part of the MOT test, hard to diagnose without hearing and driving it.
