1965 front rotor torque specs
Hello and greetings from Canada.
Yes my friends, it"s once again that time Where the Canadian guy has yet another question for the more experienced Volvo owner. Continuing on with the suspension/breaking rebuild. I am now installing the new rotors and bearings on the 1965 122s in preparation for the new calipers and a finally competed front end restoration. My question is ? When tightening the castle nut and installing the split pin on the new rotor. What is the proper torque and pin procedure. I'm getting conflicting information out there. One guy out there said to go 50 lb and back off to second pin location before torque. which doesn't seem correct. In my manual it says 22 lb and back off a third of a turn. But in my book the reference is for a hub not rotor. is there a difference ? Any help that anyone can give me would once again be greatly appreciated. Thanks again. Shayne |
