Classicswede, just about to buy one but does it come with a new seal or do I need that separately and if so is that part of the gasket set separate which is sold out?
I did some internet research on SKF ones and I can see that they are rated very highly

Sadly, many maufacturers are now outsourcing component manufacture and the quality isn't what it should be - a lot of poorly made, usually Chinese stuff is finding its way into marque-branded packaging. I've also heard some Honda water pumps are also poor quality, yet you'd expect Honda to not sell carp as well. This applies to their high-end models such as the Elysion etc so Volvo aren't alone in selling poor-quality branded items.
If memory serves, SKF were the original parent company of Volvo, way back when the wheel was a recent invention. They still have a good name in engineering circles and produce good kit. See my comment above Ellie about SKF - these days i'd rather put my trust in SKF than a Volvo-branded water pump.

I bought some genuine Volvo handbrake shoes off of eBay that were from a Volvo parts place... made in China on the box.

If they can produce a fake Roller i don't think they'd worry about a few dodgy water pumps in Volvo boxes.

Originally SKF were Volvos parent company or something, can't quite think/remember now. They haven't suffered a Ford or Chinese takeover so the quality should still be good,
