I've looked into this and be careful, if yours is a 4 spoke wheel and the new is 3 you have to do a bit of fiddling (can't exactly remember what tho (too many jd's lol)) but if it's a like for like wheel you shouldn't have any problems. Just remember to disconnect the battery before unplugging the air bag (if you don't you'll get the srs light and msg appear)

the 3 spoke wheel and airbag are a direct replacement for the 4 spoke one and looks a lot better for it,
no fiddling about required

That's interesting - are the airbags interchangeable then between the two?

And the cruise / radio / rti controls?

my V70 had the 4 spoke wheel with radio/cruise buttons as standard

swapped it for the 3 spoke wheel with radio cruise

if your planning on doing the swap then you need to buy the complete wheel with airbag and buttons as they are not interchangeable with the 3 and 4 spoke wheels

electrically they are a direct swap:
3 and 4 spoke wheel airbag connectors are the same and so are the buttons on the wheel, no chopping of wires required

you can change the wheel/airbag unit over in around 1/2 hour max

bought mine off ebay with everything req for around £50

cant say what other wheels are compatible as I dont reallt know the P1 V70,

as long as you disconnect the battery and leave the car for 1/2 hour before working on the airbag system and dont reconnect the battery before all airbag connectors are back together then you wont bring on the airbag warning lamp
