Default S40 1.8 XS

Hi Everyone,
This is my first posts so please be gentle with me.

I've put a deposit down on a S40 1.8 XS V reg 39,000 miles, it was up for £5,500.
In the price was included a full service, renewed MOT, 2 front tyres and 12 months tax.
It's a very clean car, and runs very quiet.

Is this a good purchase?

Also is there anything I should know about it before taking delivery?

Cheers
Darren

sounds like a good deal to me.

I assume it isnt coming from a main Volvo dealer as mine would'nt renew tyres or tax it before I collected it. I was lucky to get £10 worth of fuel and some mudflaps fitted on a £15K+ car.

anyway, I'm new to Volvo ownership so dont know many of the faults with the S/V40 yet but I'm sure some of the guys in here will be able to point you in the right direction.

enjoy yer new motor and welcome to the forum (-:

No it's not from a main dealer.

It's had one lady owner from new, I pick it up today.

Thanks Hugh

By this do you mean performance exhaust, the car already has alloys.
Would you guys recommend getting it chipped?

I'm not into the noisy boy racer crap, I just want a car that looks nice, not that it doesn't already.

Rereading this post it sounds really contridictory, but I was just wondering what you guys would recommend doing.
