The front door speakers are indeed 5.25" / 13cm speakers - I've recently measured them as I'm also looking at changing them for something more powerful. Will be interested to see what's recommended here.

Hi Adam,

I'm also looking to upgrade my speakers. What I've found somewhere in this forum is:

Dashboard: 3.5"
Front door: 5.25"
Back: 6.25"

All I did with my t4 was disconnected the rear speakers and fit 6x9 units in the parcel shelf, although it's important to note that mine didn't have the active amp that's runs everything, the slightly later 02 se just gives you all tweeters only if you change the stereo, but anyway, I have the front door speakers and dash tweeters as standard, the 6x9s in the shelf replacing the rears, and an aftermarket amp feeding a JL audio 12 inch sub in the boot, it sounds good, not crazy loud (I had a triple JL 12 box in an escort back in the day) but it's perfectly adequate, the standard fronts are more than up to the job as well I have found.
