Default T5 stainless steel exhaust: potential sale.

Just gauging interest in whether anyone would be interested in buying my custom made stainless steel cat-back 2.5" duplex exhaust system with 90mm polished round tips. It's a 'mid-sport' system from Longlife and sounds great, although is on the louder end of the scale and quite intrusive with a very bassy note on idle, warble in low to mid revs and roar at high revs. Think Mk2 Focus RS. This is exactly what I was after when I had the system made. However, due to recent change in circumstances, I'm softening the car down a bit to make it more of a family wagon so will be swapping this out for a Jetex system (which is far more muted). Another option would be for me to add more silencers in but I feel this would ruin what is a nice sporty system. Some more info and photos on page 6 of the following thread;

I'd be looking for offers in the region of £300 plus delivery costs. System would only be available after I've fitted the Jetex which will be early January.

Anyone interested?

Yes, it should fit an S40 T5 also. Happy to meet you any day this week (except today or Monday) to let you hear how it sounds on the car. Perhaps the Baxters car park off the M90 at Kelty ( from there we can do a mix of town driving, country roads and motorway and also rev it a bit at standstill without upsetting too many folk!). Let me know if interested and what day suits.

Default Different exhausts...

The S40 and V50 T5s have a different spacing between the rear tailpipes depending on whether they are fitted with Volvo's body styling kit or not.

Otherwise the saloon and estate exhausts are interchangeable for the T5 and D5.

C30 and C70 have yet again differing spacing.

You can check here on my website: http://kalmar-union.com/parts/volvo-...0c70-exhausts/

Don, are you sure the point on S40 and V50 spacing between exhausts being different for the sport / r-design and non-sport models is correct? Only reason I query is that my car originally had the non-sport bumper but I've fitted the sport lower lip. Spacing for my then standard exhaust was spot on for the cut outs on the sport bumper (thereby suggesting spacing of exhausts is the same between sport and non-sport). Also, to clarify, V50 exhaust will fit an S40.

Hi Chris. Have you got a picture of how it looks with the sport bumper?

Hi Nick,

If you follow link in my first post (above), there are a couple of photos on Page 6 of that thread.

Just an update to say this is still available but I'll be putting on EBay shortly. Willing to let this go for £250 plus delivery to fellow Volvo enthusiasts. I've added a few more videos to YouTube at links below. All of these are best played through a laptop or PC with decent speakers to really here the sound to full effect (i.e. not a phone or tablet).
