Default random stalling

just started randon stalling be driving along and suddenly cars just stalls, or can be stationary watching rev counter with 2,000 running and the counter suddenly goes to zero and back up to 2,000 revs within a split second, I was told it could be be the flaps under the inlet manifold! Any ideas?

Bob

By the way, changed the fuel pump relay and checked alll HT leads to make sure they are secure!

700's do like a strong spark. Check dizzy and rotor arm as suggested, also check spark plugs.

Default Stopping

Try removing and cleaning the throttle housing it gets rid of a lot of starting issues. Also the Idle control valve may be gunged up (supject to it being fuel injected)
