C30 d4 2010

Hi all, I currently own an 07 C30 1.6 petrol R-Design. Great car and has never let me down. More recently I have been looking at the possibility of upgrading to a facelifted 2010/11 D4 version. Does anyone have any experience driving them? I've heard that the 5 cyl engine is very nice but would love some opinions. I'd be looking at a car with a mileage of around 40-50k.

is there a reason your looking at changing from petrol to diesel? dont have experience in the D4 but unless your going into high mileage and long motorway runs, id stay with a petrol.

Tax rates here in Ireland are based on CO2 and he diesels fare much better. I've also heard the 5 cyl diesels are nice. I don't actually do very much day to day driving as I don't drive to work but often travel cross country to visit family etc which would be beneficial in a diesel.

The 1.6 petrol is a bit gutless on the longer trips and I would prefer something with a bit more power, I originally looked at the D3 but emissions on the D4 are the same and has a bit more grunt.
