Sticky knob and buttons!
Hi All
I’ve got a sticky volume control knob, rewind button and main button under the Sensus screen. Is there anything I could get to spray into the mechanism to unstick whatever has got in there? Many thanks Dave

What has got in there? Some kind of dash polish spray? Sugary drink spill?
WD40 would be my first choice always, but I’m not guaranteeing any such use.

Must admit that my first thought when I saw the thread title was
‘Who’s been peeing in the Adblue tank then?’

I honestly would not use WD40, as good as it is ,I think their silicon spray would be a much better option, it definitely won't affect any of the finishes or plastic chrome around that area. Also it hasn't got much aroma. The link bellow is what I use on plastics, it has numerous uses.

A microfibre cloth soaked in hot water which has a drop of Fairy Liquid in it.
Squeeze most of the water out of the cloth then go over the buttons repeatedly until they free up. A gentle scraping with a cocktail stick in between may help if the sticky residue is bad but use it as a last resort. Don't use any silicone spray, WD40 or indeed any oily aerosols.

Use anything liquid very very sparingly of course. Don’t soak the controls with liquid, otherwise nothing might ever work again.
It is probably some liquid, such as dash cleaner, used excessively, that has caused the problem in the first place, is it not?

Your car is still under warranty take it to your dealer or nearest Volvo dealership and let them sort it out.

I think the problem is the issue has been caused by liquid ingress, coffee, tea perhaps ? OP hasn't stated how it happened. In that case, Volvo will not cover under warranty I would imagine.
If there has not been any user caused problem, then without doubt get it down to Volvo under warranty.
