I think it's a 7mm allen key, but later pins are torx fitting

Or, like me, you may have both.

One caliper is original and has the Allen heads , the other was replaced and has the Torx fittings. I can't remember the sizes though.

It’s 9 mm on my XC60 which doesn’t come in the standard sets so I had to buy one.

LOL
I was salvaging some old kit for parts at work yesterday, 'all' of our stuff uses metric nuts and bolt either allen, torx or hex heads, I struggled to find the appropriate spanner but then realised someone had used imperial AF nuts and bolts for random bits! Needless to say whilst we save nuts and bolts for reuse the AF ones went into the bin.

Did the drivers side, it was a 7 mm Allen, probably same on other side, will see tomorrow, it's a 2000 model year but refurb Calliper were fitted about 4 years ago.

Was going to fit the missing brake shield that I had to snap off on the roadside a while ago due to rust failure that caused it to snag on the wheel, but didn't bother in the end as the bolts were so corroded on the heads they'd need drilling out, it's not an mot issue anyway.

Will see what passengers side shield is like tomorrow when I do that side 🤔

Passenger side pads done today, 7 mm hex also. Brake shield was in fairly good shape so couldn't be arsed to strip off the disc to remove it to match the drivers side without one, will probably let it rust away till it snaps off lol.

Routine bleed / flush planned in next few days.
