Surprisingly, very comfortable! I think all the rubber fittings around the suspension area help absorb all of it. - the only issues are related to the stiffer suspension, gotta take it even easier on the bumps, but that just helps me drive safer :P

Default LED update: rear lights

Cheap upgrade, a pack of 10 LEDs for £9 and it fits both the reversing lamp and the rear fog lights, this is a straight comparison:

Here are the lights bought:

Along the line of "classy upgrades", if you prefer the look you might wanna look at spacing out the "V O L V O" lettering on the back of the car, also maybe the chrome trim for the boot?

I agree with the spacing. Before and after here. Chrome ain't my bag. In fact, in the search for a "classy" upgrade I would rid any modern car of chrome.

Nah, I love it! I guess it must have been an SE Lux thing rather than a facelift thing as I think I've seen facelift S40s and V50s without the trim, but mine has it.

To each, their own my friend ;-)

You're right about SE Lux. Our 2009 V50 SE has no chrome (to my delight).

Fun-fact: the S40 is one of the easiest, if not the easiest car to remove the headlights from; just pull up this small metal bit and then push the light, it pops right off!

The Xenon kit:

Hi aren't you worried about drawing to much current through the halogen rated wiring ?
Also have you got a link for the xenons you bought.
