Perhaps a bit too costly, but......Get a bag for "Life"....so if it splits again you get it replaced FOC.....

Hmm, sounds like you're going a bit conventional on us here. I was going to suggest replacing it with cloth or cotton as they seem to last pretty well. I've got a nice Sainsbury's one my mum gave me years ago, currently holding bits of CBR400 cylinder head and XJ900 carbs in the back of the garage.

I once had a load of electronic connectors in a plastic bag that I left for some time, I went to pick it up and it fell apart ,

My point exactly, the old Sainsbury's cloth bag might be a bit oily and smelly now but it's holding together well and if I ever get round to finishing the modded CBR engine build to put in a quad or kart, I'm pretty sure it'll still serve it's purpose when I grab those handles and hoik it out of the corner.
Besides, it's more environ-ahem-mentally friendly than plastic too... (Ooh my ankle, think I twisted it jumping on this bandwagon... And I don't even play an instrument)
