Thats not what I wanted to hear ! I keep looking at it but I would at some point have to leave it in Tescos car park (right at the far corner out of the way mind) I couldn't just have it to keep for shows. My 940 was a bit knocked about when I got it despite it's lack of miles so it's been used just as carefully as I can.
It's a shame as I am put off having something like this because it's too nice, if nobody wants it where might it end up though. |

Tesco's car park!
There's been interest, the chap that pulled out for (genuine) personal reasons is still keen, as his situation has changed for the better.
Nothing will happen for a couple of weeks as Ron (the owner) is now out of the UK on holiday. This is a very special car, and we will almost certainly advertise it more widely upon Ron's return, we'll find the right buyer, Ron is in no rush to sell the car. Thanks guys for the interest. A Bank Holiday bump for this lovely early 744, a BKV winner for sure.

Still no idea of a price?? This is after all the Volvo Forum.
What's the big secret, if they are making money then great we should all be capable of benefiting from the increased value of our trusty steeds if we choose. If not then it's business as usual, no biggie! |

This car, in order for a 'true' market value to be realised, should be entered in a classic car auction with no reserve. But the alternative is to look at what similar cars have gone for on ebay.
- 740 GL, saloon, red, 117k, 'barn find', £310 740 GL, saloon, silver, 217k, one owner, £410 740 GLE, saloon, grey, 70k, £450 740 GL, saloon, blue, 45k, cat C write off, £650 Sooo, right time and right buyer, £600+! Otherwise about £4-500. Do the BKV judges care much for originality? Are those fog lights OEM? Why is that panasonic radio just jammed in the centre console.

I made what I deemed to be a fair offer for the car which was rejected.
