Hope some one can help me

I would like to put some bigger, deeper wheels on my Amazon.. It is lowered slightly aswell.

Does anyone know what size I need?

Two things to watch for - offset, and backspacing. These affect not only the fit / clearance of the wheel, but also how the steering will behave. It is also worth noting that wider wheels and correspondingly wider tyres will put greater loads through the suspension etc & cause wheel bearings to wear out more quickly. Also, if staying at 15", if the wheel protrudes too far inboard, there may not be enough clearance between the wheel rim & the steering arms.

The stock wheels are either 15"x4J or 15"x4.5J (the latter is estates and the 1800 coupe) with an offset of ET25 (on the 4.5J, this is a backspacing of 3 3/4". If you increase the back spacing, it is quite likely that the front tyres will scrub on the inner arches on full lock, unless the steering arm stops are adjusted to reduce the turning circle.

As for the wheels themselves, the stud pattern is shared with many US Fords, and is 5 x 4 1/2". The wheel studs are 1/2" UNF thread, so Ford fitment sleeve nuts etc can also be used. Depending on whoch wheel design is chosen, a 3mm spacer may be required to provide sufficient clearance for the front brake callipers. A variety of brand new steel and alloy wheels are available in the UK from North Hants Tyres in 15", 16" & 17" & a variety of widths etc, otherwise it's a case of searching ebay, & hot rod forums / shows.

Personally, for a 15x5.5J, I'd expect an offset of ET15, for 15x6J, I'd want an offset of ET6, or with a 7J wheel, an offset of ET0, all in order to maintain the correct backspacing & thus maintain the turning circle and at the same time, keeping the offset as close as possible to standard as is practical for those widths. From my own experience, whilst 15x7J with an offset of ET-20 looks fantastic, the steering will be very jittery on anything except a smooth road surface, and wheel bearings won't last long....

Can someone tell me if these wheels would fit the amazon.
Front:
16" x 6.5", +55 offset, 205/55 tire
Rear:
16" x 7.5", +65 offset, 225/50 tire

They will sit in quite a lot those wheels. Going by Paul's info greater than 3 3/4" backspace will rub on full turn and you would have 6" back space and would be worse at the back wheels which have a back space of 7".

Thanks. Yep i checked those links, and i dont think it would work even with a spacer. These wheels are from a Honda S2000 with the good pattern5x114.3. The plan was to get 2 pair of front wheels , but i guess i have to keep looking for something else..

TBH, most modern wheels are a no-go due to offset / backspacing, even if the pcd is correct

I found a set of ford mustang wheels. 14x7 with 225/60/14 tires. Any chance they will fit on my 69 2 door amazon?

Any idea what offset? Tbh though, I'm not keen on 14" wheels on Amazons, as imho they tend to look too small.
