XC40 creaking sound

Hi

I have a 2023 XC40 AWD B4 plus. Has done 10,000 miles when bought it . Has a creaking sound, bit like an old sailing ship especially when turning right.

Sounds like a spring or strut? Not sure if suspension or steering issue or something else?

Anyone else experience this especially on a such a low mileage, newish car?

I have a similar problem with a 2020 XC40. Try googling 'TJ 36512.1.0'.

I took mine into the dealer last September and they said that a resolution was coming and they would let me know. Unsuprisingly I'm still waiting. I will contact them again.

Seems unusual for such a low mileage car, but with the state of the roads nowadays, it could be a suspension issue.

Strut mounts or springs can creak, so can a ball joint or anti-rollbar bushes. I suggest getting Volvo to have a look, as it'll still be under warranty (I assume).

I contacted my local Volvo dealer last week and they say still waiting for a fix!
No idea how long it will take...............
