Those Thors look good. Looks like I would have to buy a tyre set for these, which defeats the object of me buying a replacement wheel set!

I have a set of 17" Arrakis from when I upped to 18s on the S80, if you'd be interested??

2 have spanking new budget tyres, the other 2 have good Pirellis I think.

PM me if you're interested

Steve

Hi mate

Thanks for your offer, but the tyres would have to be same make and type and same tread depth (talk about fussy!!).

You could do to check a Thor wheel on your car prior to committing to a set as they get too close to comfort to the rear suspension arms on the phase 1 AWD, I tried my spare Thor on Andys AWD earlier this year, any balance weights would have to be glued on otherwise they would get smashed off as the wheel turns!

If you want to try a Thor on the car let me know as you ain't too far away, I had to pay £368 for a set of four Avon ZZ3 225 45 17 tyres for mine earlier this year from Black Circle on line which included fitting, great tyre and transformed the handling and road noise from what was on previously - Mike

I know yours is phase 2 but it AWD and I don't think the manufacturer ever fitted Thor wheels to an AWD car from new ph1 or ph2, they were available for V70 ph2 and S60 in FWD vehicles so best to check they will fit as the rear suspension will be different on your car - Mike

I think that my best option for a wheel set swap would be to consider those from later phase 2 XC70's....or just replace my tyres and keep my wheels!
