Default Unique on a british 200??

hey there everyone, I just wanted to know if anyone else had ever done the dual anti-roll bars front and back?

I've lowered the car with GLT springs with a coil removed front and back, and fitted a secondary roll bar front and back aswell.

The results are astounding, the grip levels have vastly improved and the 'jelly mould' cornering has been utterly eliminated. steering is precise and the ride is on the comfortable side of firm. I am completely happy with this modification and I just wondered if anyone else had tried it?

If I ever get to a meet and anyone wants to be a passenger and feel the difference I'm more than willing to oblige!!

Regards Andi.

here's the piccies (unpainted as of yet, but will be bright yellow)

Very interesting.....

I've been thinking about upgrading the antiroll bars on my 740 to 940 ones, as they are thicker, but I've never seen this particular mod. It looks fairly straightforward.
Hope you don't mind a couple of questions to pick your brains
Did you just make bigger brackets? Also did you modify the droplinks?

Nice work!

Regards,
Chas

hello there, I'll do a write up tonight when I get back in from work, I don't know how the rear bar is setup on a 700 series but it should work on the front.

Dual anti-sway bars on the rear on the 700s and 900s works fine but of course the extra bracket needs to be made at home.

Hi,

Would it not be better to have the IPD heavy duty anti-roll bars fitted?
As per Here...
Is there an advantage having dual anti-roll bars over the IPD ones??

Yea, making dual's at home is way cheaper than ipd's! having said that, ive got 25/25 mm ipd bars on my 945 and boy does it handle well! But i got a good deal on a set already in the uk.

I already knew about the IPD ones, but they are fairly pricey, especially when you include shipping from the USA. A second set of roll bars would be far cheaper, which is why this mod caught my eye.

Hi,

Now I see the reason behind this..
Makes me wonder why/if there is no UK importer for the IPD bars...

Where did you find the details for this MOD??

The IPD ones are over £150 plus shipping (£60-£70) so its not cheap at all.
