Yes it is going to stay. I bought the car for £1650 last year had it fully serviced and cambelt done stage 0 tune. The accident with the nice not so young gent landed me just over £1300 so really capital wise its cost £350.

Sundries and running costs well thats going to be a diffrent matter but I figure at the end of the day I will have a very nice car. Thinking of having it touched up all over when the body is repaired bring it back to its full glory.

Well I have been pricing up a few bits and it has come to a fair few £££'s

I have been looking at getting the following bits:
Cat back stainless steel exhaust
Panel air filter with oils etc
Samco sport turbo hose kit
Samco sport cooling hose kit
Black Diamond (or other) front and rear discs and pads
The other discs I've looked at are with Don the ventilated cross drilled and grooved front and back discs with EBC pads
Goodridge braided brake line kit
Powerflex upper engine mount
Powerflex lower wishbone kit
ECU upgrade to take it to around 270 bhp dont really want to much more being an auto (will I need an extra oil cooler for the auto box)
If I can throw a few questions to those in the know, what out of the above is deemed to be notifiable to the insurance company? (phoned them today and the girl didnt have a clue advised me to go to web and submit an email of all the mods, but they only allow up to 3 mods!)
I already have a strut brace should I consider anything else dont want to lower the car.

all of those mods have to be brought to the insurers attention.

The "girl" gave the wrong advice - these kind of items need to be discussed over the phone.

you could keep quiet about them, at the least the insurance company won't pay out for those items, but stock only, at worst they will void the policy and leave you hanging.

Well phoned up A plan today for a quote on all the bits I want to do to the car (see my last post) and the cost would be £421.77 with £350 excess. Not to bad will try a few others over the next few days.
The cost of all the upgrades/mods will cost between £1300 to £1500 for parts alone.

Now that the sittuation with the old boy has been setteled, and I will be doing a bit of work on the car I will start a new thread in the projects part of the forum. I will post a link to that thread once I have started it for anyone who would be interested.

Thanks to all who of you who posted, the advice has been very helpfull and I am very greatful to you all.
