Default 477- Inscription Electric Silver colour

Anyone knows the reason why electric silver colour was banished from Volvo's options? From MY2020 on.🤔

Magic Blue also missing from MY20 - I assume that those who make decisions on colours available for each model year sit down in a committee room somewhere and look at what is likely to sell.....then decide how many more shades of grey can be included in the palette!!

When I picked my MY19 in that colour back in June the dealer said the were sad to see the colour go. He explained that his understanding is that VOLVO are finding it difficult to match the colour to the different materials being used. This seems plausible as my bumpers are a slightly different colour (more than my last few cars in different colours)

I must admit that the rear bumper on my Inscription Silver XC60 always looked a different colour to the rear three quarter panels and boot when viewed from different angles.

I've chosen Pebble Grey Metallic for my new XC90 Inscription.

Anyone else like it, or prefer it to, say Electric Silver, Bright Silver, Osmium Grey, Pine Grey or Thunder Grey?

My current vehicle is Savile Grey and I never felt totally comfortable with it because of the stigma of the name.

Wonder what’s gone wrong? 477 has been in the range since at least 2008, possibly earlier, so it’s taken them a long time to decide there’s a problem.
They’ve had plastic bumpers and tailgates for some time now.
Unless that’s just an excuse and it’s just change for change’s sake.
Despite the slightly higher price, it seems to have been fairly popular and looks classier than regular silver.

It really is the best looking silver colour on the road today.
A real shame it's no longer available.

I should be collecting a pebble grey inscription on Friday, tbh I thought it was best colour out of a bad bunch.

100% agree with above - and its an excellent colour for hiding the dirt.
My last 4 Volvo's have all been Electric Silver so looks like a change is coming ...... but in 2 years time who knows what will be available ......as long as it's a shade of Grey?
