The service plan is not available if you are buying on trade terms so would be excluded on a lease.

Guy at work got a storming 16% off an XC40 as he got trade terms when he proved he had opted out of the company car scheme. Downside was no option of £599 5 year service package. But kind of compensated by the circa 5.5k discount.....

If you sell the vehicle on later yourself, then it's a helpful sales aid to pass on as a benefit to the new buyer.

Zero value later to you though, if you put the vehicle in part exchange before you've had the services.

Same here

But I repeat, no belt change etc, just the things listed. Anything else is extra.

Mine is a 16 plate currently on 15k
The 5th year / 90000 mile service is now a cambelt since May ... It is a mandatory part of the volvo specified service , why are they excluding it ? It is a misleading offer . If you have not done 90000 miles at the 5th year service they have the flexibility now not to do it .. but who is going to remember whether it was done or not ? best make a note in the relevant box in the service handbook for the next people who service it .

Really? For all SPA cars?

Mine has just had a 90k service and the dealer was very specific that this was an interim service at 290 quid. I have same quote from 2 other dealer chains, and neither included a cam belt.

8 year or 144k is cambelt change (and £1080 quid to boot) was what I got from both the dealer and the Volvo website.....

In fact just been and checked on the Volvo UK website.

Sure enough 5yrs or 90k miles and 295 quid service

8 years or 144k and bang up pops the 1065 quid (which is the cam belt)

So for a MY16 cambelt is definitely 144k miles or 8 years.

I agree with you. They are probably still working on the pre May service schedule. Not inspiring much faith in the dealers.

Hmm I wonder if they can tell him many miles the engine has done in a T8? to change the timing belt.

I have just used the link in #16, selected my dealer and the 90,000 service costs £900.

Beside the normal servicing, it includes:
Camshaft and Auxiliary belt replacement.
Auxiliary belt tensioner and idler roller replacement.

Not sure how this compares with other parts of the U.K.

tem.
