Default New XC60 - anything to look out for?

Hi all,

I'll be picking up my first ever Volvo in a couple of weeks and thought I'd check if there's anything to look out for when I go and collect it.

Nearly all my previous new cars I've found cellophane/wax to remove or rubber blocks lodged all over the place, just wondering if Volvo Cars typically have anything to look out for?

I've gone for XC60 in Fusion red, T5 R-Design. Love the engine, so smooth in its power delivery, just need to get the keys!!

I'd look out for the tank being emptied as soon as you go near the throttle

I have a T5 in Fusion Red I really like the red pops so nicely in sunny weather and a bit of a change from the succession of monochrome cars I've had. The engine is very smooth it's great on the motorway silent as a mouse coming from the gen 1 D5 which sounded like a (reassuring) tractor.

Never had any issues with the 3 Volvos I've picked up from the dealer directly, always well prepared. The Sensus takes a bit of getting used to, it can be a little slow and a few more buttons would be nice but gererally I think they're good cars. The build quality and refinement certainly is a step up it does feel a quality product.

How many miles do you get from a tank roughly?

Make sure the car is connected to VOC "before" you leave the dealership. It should get connected during the hand over process, you should have been sent the pin number via email. A few owners have had problem with voc so best to get it sorted out before you leave the dealers.

Very difficult to say.

My driving tends to be local and that usually returns between 24 and 30 motorway 33-35 is the norm. For my type of driving I suspect around 300 a tank.

That is good advice from nu11eaf, ensure they set the car up and it's working as it should be.

Just did 540 miles from one fill up to warning light, steady trip to Scotland and back with our t5 awd. Low 30s mpg more the norm with general driving.

Is the tank 65 litres?

I have the 60 litre tank. The MY20 has a larger tank 70 litres I think, that would be great.
