every PHM that looks like this one is upgradable. even if it has VOC. but if it has VOC i recomment as the fist visit the volvo service and disable it (it is possible to do it with special code in the menu). otherwice it can drain a battery if in idle because it permanently tries to connect with VOC server.

Hello!

I managed to install everything and it's working great. Quality of the calls is great and microphone gain is perfect. FM transmitter also works good.

Only thing that I can't figure it out is accepting calls from other applications, like Telegram or WhatsApp, where I need to give access to microphone is not responding. I'm pressing Enter when call is incoming but it doesn't want to accept it. Maybe I'm doing it wrong.

Otherwise, thank you alot! It's very big upgrade and it's very convenient.

regarding apps like signal, whatsapp, ... there is a little bit different notification and control and the firmware does not take it in account.
i will try it to solve it in future but at the moment i have another higher priorities (finishing the brand new firmware, new hw design, ...).

so after a long time new firmware comes. but this time it is the new from the scratch.

the change is so huge that the update from the older versions is not possible to do with the standard way but it has to be done by USB recovery.

I tested it on my car, so I know that PHMs with the Ericsson modem work without problems. with the newer ones (with the Wavecom modem), I just know that it will boot. but I am not sure if phone calls work withou any issue.
so if somebody will test it then please let me know (the music will always work).
regarding the radio, some control options have been added, so i guess you will be more satisfied with it. however, reading the manual will probably be a must .

any inconsistencies please write here so I can learn and others don't have to struggle with it.

Hi!
Just updated to the newest firmware.
Phone function is no longer working.
Cant confirm any changes. Tried to change language and pressed green/yes. Nothing happens, and language doesn't change. Music stream works as a charm.
Maybe i have the Wavecom then? Managed to change in settings file and transfer it so now its in english.

what exactly? at least do you see the operator name (connected device or "D5T5 BT")?

My phone is paired with PHM. DIM shows my phone name (Danne).

Seems like the phone function itself is completely "gone". I can press numbers but when you want to call (press the green handset) "Danne" blinks and nothing else happens. Likewise, when I select the settings, for example English and want to confirm my new choice, it goes to the standby menu, but the choice of language is not stored. It detects the button press but does not accept the command.

- it is possible to create a call on the facelift wavecom PHMs (working on P3 so it has to work on P2 too )
- the radio mode is shown properly
- the toggle function settings can now be switched on and off (previously they could not be switched off after switching on)

Now everything works as it should again.
Phone function is back!
