Default 1.6 drive hesitation around 1800rpm

Hi,

I'v searched and searched the forum for a definitive answer but can't seem to find one.

My 2009 V50 1.6 drive s/s 126,000miles hesitates at bit around 1800rpm if I accelerate gently, no problems if I floor it.

So far my local indy in the past month, have read the codes and replaced (the original, Volvo didn't do it at 75,000, ex lease car..) DPF, fitted a new diesel filter, both have improved mpg but problem is still there.

I'm limited in skills, but have just cleaned the MAF sensor hoping it was this but problem is still present, if I disconnect the MAF sensor the problem goes, so can I assume I need a new MAF?
When I cleaned the MAF it had a coating of engine oil on it, some had leaked onto the air filter as well, is this something to worry about?

Think I've found a possible cure, a split pipe.
Can anyone tell me what the part below is, I've been searching for an hour and can only find the whole assembly.

Car is 2009 Volvo V50 1.6drive

Many thanks

The rubber pipe was part number 31370109 and description is "bellows". I have a feeling there's a newer part number for it now though.

I don't see a split on your photo, is it underneath?

Hi!

Edmoss, did you resolve this issue? I have a 2006 S40 1.6d with the exact same behaviour, and i'd really like to find a solution.

Couldn't get the part so my local indy fitted a new whole pipe/maf sensor from air filter to engine. It helped for a while but the problem is back.

I'm wondering if the EGR needs a clean??
Anyone know where it is, I can't find a picture anywhere, my engine looks different to all the pictures I've found on Google.
