Question C70 Hydraulic Fluid level in reservoir

Hi fellow C70 owners, does anyone know what the correct Hydraulic Fluid level is in the reservoir ?? and the correct way to check it ??

I've checked mine and the level of Hydraulic Fluid is four inches below the top of neck on the reservoir ?? this seems very low to me ??, and from the dirt on the filler cap i suspect its never been checked before even though the car has had a proper Volvo Service every year from new ??

Regards Chris

If it is the brakes, go with the full level on the reservoir - similarly the level markers on the "manual" clutch reservoir.
However if you're referring to the auto transmission fluid - then check both cold and hot on the dip stick level with the engine off IMHO always better to check the hot level rather than the cold & also worth looking at the colour of the fluid NB if it smells like toffee then much better to go with the Gibbons method @500 mile repetitive changes UNTIL THE CLUNK DISAPPEARS...............
