My next car ?

Mulling over choices for my next car, and thought I'd canvas some views.

I've had a 2011 V60 for 6 years and a V50 for 4 years before that, and thinking about replacing it, maybe next year with something a little newer. Plenty of time for mulling it over and finding the right thing, I'm not in any hurry.

If I'm replacing, I'm slightly reluctant to replace with the exact same i.e the 2011-18 V60, but's it's a bit of jump up in price to the current model '18 V60. So, instead of another Volvo it got me thinking, I could save my cash and just go for something cheap instead, perhaps something like the Dacia Estate, and pocket what I would have spent. There's obviously also an assortment of other estates in between (Skoda, Seat, VW, Hyundai, Kia & Mazda are the ones that spring to mind).

I recognise the obvious, you get what you pay for statement, and I appreciate coming on here and asking should I get a cheap alternative to a Volvo is maybe a flawed premise in the first place, but does anyone have any experience of the Dacias in comparison ? Happy for any other thoughts.

Hopefully people aren't too sick of the 'what should I replace my car with' queries that pop up on here occasionally, with Arianne's interesting monster thread springing to mind, for those familiar with it.
