Do you have the Volvo plug cover? It does neaten things up on the top of the engine.

I was kinda always of belief, that original manufacturer parts are the best option as they were designed for a specific car.
Of course, but pipe is pipe. Buy proper spec'ed stuff, over mindlessly buying dealer, because it's 'dealer' sleep-walks into purest stupidity. In this case, copper-pipe or decent branded hose is vastly superior, yet this rule won't always be correct. Don't buy a Chinese PCV kit for example?

I put braided-hose in one PCV. Way over Volvo spec, but still cheaper than any Volvo item.

This route requires more thought, yet beats working to pay dealer prices. Where does anyone think dealers get stuff from?

Oh boy, don't get me started. Whole engine bay needs a lot of work to make it look nice again. This is all I got, so I'm gonna need to hunt for some spares. The TB cover is missing as well, not to mention terrible cable / house routings. LPG will probably give me headaches but I'm stubborn

This will all be sorted in time - big and important stuff first (= PCV, timing belt service, oil and filters etc..).

Very nice one! Like it!
About the timing belt, interval for changing is 8 years or 120000km. And to keep it due to low mileage is no good idea! It is aging and you can not look inside! So replace it after 8 years, whatever mileage it has. And take original from a Volvodealer or a belt from a reliable dealer. In the internet you can get a belt that was on stock for many years and such one is not better than the old one! The belt is 23mm, the 21mm was only for very early engines.
And some aftermarket waterpumps have a impeller made of plastic. They can break and you have lots of fun! So make sure you get one with a impeller made of metal.
