Default foot well lights won't come up

Hi guys,

For Volvo s80 2004 d5

Today I realized that footwell lights won't come up. Weeks ago back door lights went dark as well, to which I didn't pay much attention.

I've checked the courtesy light fuse (changed actually) also changed bulbs to new ones but nothing from the mentioned locations works.

What could be the issue?

Not sure if this is me just imagining stuff. But on my S60, I noticed the interior lights wouldn't be triggered by the door if it was light outside, and the dash wouldn't light up etc...

Then, near the end of my ownership with it I observed that they would come on regardless of the outside light, and VIDA was giving me a DTC for the twilight sensor.

I wonder if possibly your sensor has gone bad?

So best is to connect vida and do the test?

If you have Vida, it's always best to use that.

Hi there,

I have scanned with VIDA, but couldn't find any faults that would show about lights.

Is there a specific section for this?

In VIDA, select the (either CEM or UEM). Looking at a VIDA screenshot of my S60 it was the CEM. and look for DTCs related to a twilight sensor.

I was getting "CEM-9F20 Twilight sensor Faulty signal" and "CEM-5A00 Sun sensor Signal too high"

Alternatively, go to the Delivery tab and it will show all DTCS from all modules for that read.
