Default [V70] Steeringrack leak: replace oil lines?

Hi Everyone,

My steering rack is leaking on on the spot where the hard oil lines enter the steering rack and are held by that small clamp on the steering rack.

Last week I replaced the O-rings, hoping this would solve the problem as one of them was completely dried out, but it's still leaking.

Now I was already in the "sh*t I have to replace the entire steering rack of a car I was hoping to replace later this year" modus, but the garage told me it might be caused by the oil lines as well.

Regardless of the 80-90euro's bet I might have to make (i recon a small leak is hard to see when the lines are removed from the car), how hard is it to replace these oil lines?

Can it be done without lowering the subframe?

Thanks

Hi.
If the above link is anything to go by I`d say you are better off removing the rack.
